Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Squamous cell carcinoma is the second most common type of skin cancer. Unlike BCCs, SCCs do commonly have the ability to spread to other parts of the body. The risk of this occurring depends on its size, its location and its sub-type. It commonly presents on sun damaged skin as a pink/red lump on the skin which can be tender. Often it may have an ulcerated centre. Generally they grow faster than BCCs.
